Materials Guide:

Materials Guide (1)

CWI’s slickline Materials Guide is a form where you can give the specifications of your well conditions. The Materials Guide is available in both English and Spanish. On the form you will include information like well pressure, well temperature, hydrogen sulfide levels, chloride levels, gas to oil ratio, line diameter, line weight, working depth and tool weight. Using your provided information, we can select the ideal slickline for your application. We also have the availability to custom produce your ideal slickline. Once you submit the Materials Guide form, a member of our commercial team will contact you with our recommended alloy for your specific application, pricing options, and delivery details. Visit our website to complete the Materials Guide form.

Maintaining Your Slickline: IMG_0570

Maintaining your slickline is imperative for ensuring the longevity of the slickline. One way to maintain your slickline is to replace any malfunctioning sheaves that are in use. Any restriction that prevents the sheave or pulley from rolling smoothly will have a negative impact on the slickline. If you are having a problem with your sheaves, check out eSheaves, a pulley and sheave company owned by CWI. Another way to maintain your slickline is to avoid kinking the wire. When wrapping your slickline, it is recommended to layer the wire smoothly onto its winch drum to maintain consistent tension. Lastly, the easiest and most effective way to maintain your slickline is to perform regular inspections. Regular inspections will allow you to find and solve any problems immediately and extend the life of your slickline.

Central Wire Industries GD™-SUPA® Slicklines are made to last in harsh well conditions. Use our Materials Guide to help find the correct slickline for your downhole application.
