Three Ways Central Wire Helps Advance Space Exploration

Central Wire Industries proudly supports the aerospace industry by manufacturing mission-critical products such as bar stock for fasteners used by companies like Space X. From the ground, to the sky, to the outer atmosphere, our high quality products are quality tested to AS9100:2016 and ISO 9001:2015 standards at our facility in Perris, California, and rigorously inspected to meet strict industry expectations. Our wide range of alloys are durable in harsh conditions and strong enough to withstand corrosion and excessive heat without breaking down, which means they can endure some of nature’s most powerful forces. It is through our superior products, quality alloys, and strict certifications that we continuously meet the demands of aerospace travel and exploration, time and time again.

cold-heading-1-1

1. Products
No other company can provide more military specification wire and cable products than the CWI family of companies. From specialty alloy bar stock for fasteners, to aircraft cable for aeronautics, Central Wire is the global leader in aerospace wire and cable products. Specifically, our Perris, California location has the capability to produce bar stock for security fasteners, rivets, bolts, and aerospace fastening systems up to 0.750 inches, specified to precise parameters such as tensile strength, Rockwell hardness, and length. Our seam-free material can also be finished with our full range of wire coatings, such as Copper Techcote or Moly Supercoat to increase performance or add lubricity when needed.

2. Alloys
Our common alloys for the aerospace industry include: 302HQ, 316L, 13-8Mo, A286, Monel® 400, Monel® K500, Inconel® 600 and 718, and Invar 36. 302HQ, 316L, 13-8Mo, and A286 derive from our stainless steel series which can withstand challenging conditions from harsh environments. Specifically, 13-8Mo, and A286 provide high levels of strength and hardness along with good resistance against stress corrosion cracking because they are part of our Hi-Strength Stainless Series. Monel® 400, Monel® K500, Inconel® 600 and 718, and Invar 36 derive from our specialty series of nickel alloys which can tolerate intense environmental conditions without weakening.

3. Certifications
Our Perris, California location holds AS9100:2016 and ISO 9001:2015 certifications, which focus on aerospace market needs. These certifications allow us manufacture and distribute round, stranded, and shaped stainless steel, nickel alloy, copper, zinc, and other alloy wire, bar, and cut-to-length products for the aerospace industry. These certifications help ensure that we continually deliver the highest quality products possible, no matter where in the world they may go.
