To learn in full detail how our products are made from beginning to end, visit the manufacturing capabilities page on our website. There you will read about and see all the different steps required to transform raw into the products our customers specify every day. This multi-step process entails a strategic plan of annealing, stress relieving, drawing, and coating to impart the correct hardness and tensile strength on the metal.

Just like most of our products, bar stock begins its life as a raw material that requires many steps, such as cleaning and processing, before it reaches its final form. Once drawn to its appropriately designated diameter, it is straightened, cut to length, and packaged to customer specification. To help guarantee consistency, material is bundled by lot to ensure traceability back to the mill source. For a brief look at how wire rod becomes bar stock, take a moment to watch the video below.

From alloy selection to packaging requirements, our goal is to provide you with a customizable product capable of meeting all your tensile strength, hardness, and diameter tolerance specifications. Our Perris facility has the capacity to produce bar stock up to 0.750 inches in a variety of stainless, nickel, and specialty alloys which all exhibit unique properties in machining, cold heading, and hot heading applications.
