Central Wire Has The Right Profile for You

CWI is a world leader in manufacturing high quality round and profiled shaped wire. Whether you are using wedge wire for filtration screens, or half-oval wire for cotter pins, our wide range of shapes and alloys make it easy and convenient to spec the perfect product for your application. Backed by our commitment to quality and testing, you can rest assured that your shaped wire is always consistent and reliable

Shapes
From triangles and pentagons to ovals and stars, we can manufacture virtually any shape of profiled wire to suit your needs. Each shape offers unique physical properties, which can be harnessed for a variety of different applications ranging from liquid filtration to hardware production. Shaped wire provides nearly endless opportunities, but for insight on some of the common ways it is used, check out our blog, Three Products That Use Shaped Wire.

Alloys
In addition to stainless steel and corrosion-resistant nickel, Central Wire produces shaped wire in specialty alloys such as Inconel, Monel, and X750. Selecting the appropriate alloy for your application is just as important as selecting the shape, because each alloy offers a balance of strength, flexibility, and corrosion resistance. X750, for example, provides both corrosion and oxidation resistance in addition to heat tolerance up to 1300 degrees Fahrenheit.

Quality and Testing
Our shaped wire testing is performed in accordance with ASTM International and ISO/EN Testing Standards. For a quick look at some of these testing procedures, check out our quality assurance video below.

We also offer more information about our ASTM testing processes on the manufacturing capabilities page of our website. Through every step of the manufacturing process, we are always working to ensure you receive the highest quality product possible. Strength, hardness, and surface finish are just some of the many product details examined by our metallurgists to confirm specification compliance.
